What new features will the second generation AirPods Pro get:
- Enhanced Audio Quality: LE Audio includes a new low power audio codec called LC3 that delivers improved audio quality over the classic SBC codec.
- Extended battery life: With LC3 audio codec, second-generation AirPods Pro will have longer battery life in audio playback mode with low power consumption
- Multi-streaming audio: LE Audio will allow you to transfer multiple synchronized audio streams between the source device. This will allow each individual left and right AirPod to have its own Bluetooth audio connection with an LE Audio enabled device for improved reliability.
- Connect multiple pairs of AirPods to iPhone at the same time: LE Audio allows multiple pairs of AirPods to directly connect to your iPhone, iPad, Mac or other device and play audio at the same time. Apple already has this feature, but it doesn’t work with more than two pairs of AirPods. In the second generation, the number of possible devices that simultaneously play sound from one device will increase.
- Switching between iPhone and Mac is not required: LE Audio will allow AirPods to connect to multiple source devices at the same time, such as iPhone and Mac, eliminating the need to switch AirPods between them.
