Google Chrome offers a specific feature. Just select the text of our interest, click the right mouse button (or equivalent combination with the trackpad) and choose the item “Copy link to highlighted text”: in the clipboard we will find a shareable link that refers directly to the specific highlighted text of a page.

The link copied to the clipboard can be pasted into an email, a WhatsApp message, etc.; works even if the recipient doesn’t have Chrome and uses a different browser.

The recipient can also remove the highlight from text in linked content by right-clicking the highlighted text and selecting the “Remove Highlight” item.
