The new Google Home app was even presented last October, while the release has now begun. It comes with five distinctive tabs. The Favorites screen will be the ideal screen in which to fix the devices and automations you use most often, as well as being able to monitor the Spaces, which allow you to group devices into categories such as lighting, cameras, Wi-Fi connection and air conditioning.

Automations, including home and personal routines, will have a dedicated tab, while the Settings tab will make it easier to customize the functions of different devices. Finally, the app will send notifications about problems with your smart devices, subscription reminders (such as Nest Aware), and other useful information.

The new version of the app will also offer an improved camera overview, allowing you to access camera streams directly from the dedicated section of the app. Google has announced that the redesigned Home app will also support first-generation Nest cameras, although the integration will happen gradually.

Starting in July, public preview users of Home will be able to access the first generation Nest Cam Indoor, followed later by the original version of Nest Cam Outdoor

Older Nest cameras will be integrated into the final version of the Home app in the coming months, according to Google
