HP promises revolutionary PCs with AI by 2024

HP promises revolutionary PCs with AI by 2024. The boom in artificial intelligence overwhelms everything: now it’s the turn of dear, old and even a little mistreated computers that see a glimmer of light in the words of the HP CEO announcing big changes and the PC revolution with AI on board within 24 months, even sooner.

In an interview with analysts, reported by Yahoo! Finance, HP CEO Enrique Lores said the company is working to integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into the PC. This way, “Consumers or professionals will be able to run AI applications at the edge and not have to run them in the cloud.”

The executive offered further details “The advantage this will bring is that if you are a small company and you want to use some of your private data in an AI application, you will not have to upload it, you will be able to run it locally. And there, too, will be cost benefits and latency improvements.”

According to reports from Gizchina, HP will release a new category of PCs with a revolutionary architecture to allow users to work with AI locally, to maximize the security of sensitive data. To this end, HP is collaborating with AMD, Nvidia and Qualcomm.

Again according to the words of the CEO of HP “There will be a significant change. Customers will start to see some of these solutions available in 2024 in about 12 months, 20 months from now, and it will be a huge opportunity to really bring energy to the category,” Lores explained.

In an interview with CNBC, the executive anticipated PCs with AI on board to create spreadsheets, analyze data and even dialogues in record time. Impossible to underestimate the expectations and promises, as Lores admits at the end of the interview “I have been in this sector for many, many years. I’ve never seen an opportunity like this, to really drive innovation and drive a new type of customer needs that we really think are going to be critical.”
