Insider: under-screen Face ID will not appear on the iPhone before 2025

Insider: under-screen Face ID will not appear on the iPhone before 2025. Reputable screen insider Ross Young, who specializes in screens, said that under-screen Face ID will not appear on iPhones before 2025.

Samsung, the shots of the Galaxy that show the moon are distorted

This contradicts Mr. Yang’s earlier words, when he said that the authentication system will migrate under the screen as early as 2024. Now the release has been postponed due to “problems with the sensor”.

If nothing changes, the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first model to feature this technology. However, as the analyst expects, the cutout for the front camera will still remain in the display.

This year, the firmware display will remain unchanged, but the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will lose their monobrows in favor of Dynamic Island.

Apple has a roadmap outlining what future cutouts will look like. Dynamic Island, apparently, will disappear from the firmware in 2025 or later, and in another two years there will be no holes in the display at all – the front camera will also be hidden, like the recently introduced ZTE Nubia Z50 Ultra. Now Apple will not implement such technologies, because the quality of the images does not even reach the level of a mediocre iPhone front camera.
