Apple Store out of order waiting for iPhone 14
As usual, Apple presented its new smartphone with great fanfare. During a keynote organized this Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, CEO Tim Cook unveiled the characteristics of the iPhone 14.
Four iPhone lines
This time, the apple brand has decided not to release an iPhone Mini, but four models will be offered: the classic iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 will be available for pre-order on September 9 and for purchase on September 16, as will the iPhone Pro. The iPhone 14 Plus will be available for pre-order on October 7 (and for sale on October 14).
In terms of size, the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro are 6.1 inches, the iPhone 14 Plus and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are 6.7 inches. So finished the “miniature” format of the mini and its 5.4 inches.
The colors evolve a little, but Apple remains in the sober, offering five colors for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus: blue, purple, black (midnight), white (starlight) and red.
In the iPhone 14 Pro, four colors will be available: space black, silver, gold, and intense purple.
Regarding autonomy, Apple announces a day for the iPhone 14 and “the best autonomy ever seen on an iPhone” for the iPhone 14 Plus, without precise data in hours.
A high price range
Design level, a small revolution appears, since the “notch”, this famous notch on the top of the screen which had earned so much criticism from the American multinational, disappears, but on two models only, the Pro and the Pro Max. In favor of a notch reduced to an ellipse which allows you to display notifications at the top of the screen.
As for prices, prices are soaring in Europe, while they have not increased in the United States, compared to the iPhone 13.
Apple is aiming high and the iPhone 14 will not be accessible to all budgets, with an entry price of 1019 euros for the iPhone 14 and 1169 euros for the iPhone 14 Plus. In the Pro range, the iPhone Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be sold from 1329 euros and 1479 euros respectively, an increase of 170 to 220 euros compared to the previous ranges.

Also among the new features: an SOS function, to make emergency calls and detect car accidents. As well as an advanced photo system: a main lens of 48 Megapixels for the iPhone 14 Pro and 12 Megapixels for the classic iPhone 14.
A new range of Apple Watch
Also new is the Apple Watch. The brand has announced the release of the Apple Watch Series 8, resistant to water, dust and falls. With a notorious innovation: temperature monitoring, which will allow women to better analyze their periods. Indeed, the connected watch will be able to detect the date of ovulation, via the Health application.
Also among the new features: the “Crash Detection” tool, which can save you in the event of a car accident. The watch alerts the emergency services in the event of an impact.
On the price side, the Apple brand offers several options: the one at 399 dollars, in Wifi, and the one at 499 dollars in the 4G version. Eight colors are available (four aluminum, four steel). The watch is available for pre-order from this Wednesday, September 7.
Apple also unveiled two other connected watch ranges:
- The Apple Watch SE: it will be available for pre-order from September 16, for 249 dollars in its Wifi version and 299 dollars in 4G.
- The Apple Watch Ultra: a watch designed for extreme sports, which will compete with Garmin products. In particular, it will be waterproof in diving up to 40 meters, and will have 39 hours of autonomy.
Apple unveils AirPods pro 2
These new connected headphones have an H2 chip for improved external noise reduction, with a battery life of six hours more than the previous range. Also new: the addition of a wrist strap attached to the case, to avoid misplacing your AirPods.
The price of these wireless headphones is $299. They will be available for pre-order from September 9, and available from September 23.
