iPhone 15 survey: users want new design and mini model. A new survey reveals users’ wishes for iPhone 15. Surprisingly, there is a desire for a return to the iPhone mini as a form factor, even if at the top of the list there is a new design.
SellCell surveyed over 2,500 iPhone owners in the US and these are the results. First and foremost, the most popular Apple device to buy during the holiday season this year is the iPhone, with 37.4% of respondents planning to buy one for Christmas. AirPods are in second place with 18.7% of respondents, followed by the Apple Watch with 16.3%. HomePod mini is the least popular Apple device to buy for Christmas, with just 2.9% of respondents planning to get one. It’s also worth noting that 40.6 percent of respondents said they have no plans to take an Apple device on vacation.
When asked if they planned to upgrade to an iPhone 14 model, 13.6 percent of respondents said they already have, but a further 29.7 percent still plan to do so in the near future. Of the 56.7 percent who have no plans to upgrade, 45.3 percent said they would keep their current device and 5.1 percent said they look forward to the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup next year. 2.4% of respondents are apparently waiting for the fourth generation iPhone SE to launch.
When specifically asked if they liked the iPhone 14 Plus, 20.4% of respondents said they already have one or plan to buy one in the near future. 22.5 percent said it’s too expensive, 12.1 percent said it’s too big, while 7.8 percent said it had a poor mix of features compared to the iPhone 14 Pro. Again, the 6.6 percent said the price is too close to the iPhone 14 Pro and 6.6 percent said they would prefer a smaller device with a similar form factor to the iPhone mini.
