OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T welcome Android 13 with the first OxygenOS 13 Open Beta. In previous years, OnePlus had not signaled itself for a particularly careful and diligent behavior in terms of software support, but with the arrival of Android 13 it seems to want to reverse the course: after having excelled all with the release of the major update in a stable version for OnePlus 10 Pro and having – in the same days – offered the first beta versions to OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus 9 series, today we go back another generation: the OxygenOS 13 Open Beta based on Android 13 is in fact available for the trio consisting of OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T.

OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T: the news of the update
Let’s start by saying that for OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T the time has not yet come to update in a stable version to the OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13, indeed to be honest the same beta program has just started and at present the availability of the trial version is limited only to models destined for the Indian market (the others will follow in any case).
In short, if on the one hand the time has not yet come to run to get your smartphone and install the new update, on the other hand it is still useful to already get to know all the news that will arrive soon for all the owners of the three models in question.
As usual, the Chinese manufacturer took the floor on its official forum to give this happy announcement. Owners of OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 Pro eager to preview the major update will need to make sure they have installed the OxygenOS 12 version (C.35) before proceeding. - Upgrades Doodle in Notes. You can now draw on graphics to take notes more efficiently.
- Optimizes Shelf. Swiping down on the Home screen will bring up Shelf by default. You can search content online and on your device.

- Optimizes Bitmoji to offer more Always-On Display animations.

- Adds an automatic pixelation feature for chat screenshots. The system can identify and automatically pixelate profile pictures and display names in a chat screenshot to protect your privacy.

- Optimizes Private Safe. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is used to encrypt all files for enhanced security of private files.
