Samsung Unveils Odyssey Monitor Lineup at Gamescom 2022. Samsung unveiled its latest range of gaming monitors at Gamescom 2022, including the Odyssey Ark and the Odyssey G70B and G65B models. The first, announced earlier this month, is the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming display with 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time (GtG) and Cockpit mode.

Odyssey Ark
Odyssey Ark is the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved screen to offer Cockpit mode that optimizes the screen environment with Height Adjustable Stand (HAS), tilt and swivel capabilities. Quantum Matrix technology, powered by Quantum Mini LED, enables ultra-fine and precise control of densely arranged LEDs, with new 14-bit processing, enhanced by 16,384 black levels and a static contrast ratio of one million units .
Odyssey Ark is made using Samsung’s proprietary Matte Display and Sound Dome technology. The monitor delivers cinematic sound spread through four speakers at each corner and two center woofers, resulting in a 60W 2.2.2 channel with 45Hz notes lower than any other gaming screen or soundbar.
Odyssey Ark features a Smart Hub, allowing users to monitor and adjust settings such as temperature and humidity through the SmartThings app. In addition, a simple Wi-Fi connection allows for a complete smart TV experience, offering access to the most popular streaming apps and free live content without downloads or registrations, thanks to Samsung TV Plus.
In addition to a refresh rate of 165Hz and a 1ms (GtG) response time with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Odyssey Ark features Samsung Gaming Hub.
Odyssey G70B and G65B
The Odyssey G70B and G65B gaming monitors were presented at Gamescom 2022. Both offer smart features, including the ability to create a home office environment even without a PC. Users can wirelessly connect to a Windows PC or Mac, use Samsung DeX, mirror a smartphone screen to the monitor using Apple AirPlay 2, and access Microsoft 365 cloud services.
The G70B is available in 28 and 32 inch sizes and offers a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GtG) response time. These capabilities are packaged in a flat UHD resolution IPS display, powered by NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for smooth gaming.
The G65B is available in two sizes, 27 and 32 inches, and features a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GtG) response time. The curved QHD 1000R display features FreeSync Premium Pro for a flawless gaming experience that will give any gamer a competitive edge.
