The Sony FE 20-70mm F4 G is the new mirrorless all-rounder. A breath of fresh air brought to Sony’s standard zoom lens category by the FE 20-70mm F4 G, a full-frame super wide-angle E-mount lens that packs a practical focal range and large constant aperture a light and compact body.

It has the same high image quality as the G Lens series and 60% faster AF and accurate tracking, making it suitable for a variety of photographers, from content creators to vlogging and film, to portrait and landscapes.
The optical design consists of two AA (advanced aspherical) elements, one standard aspherical element, three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements and one ED aspherical element, and is capable of correcting chromatic and spherical aberrations simultaneously at all focal lengths. In addition, at 20 mm focal length, a wide angle of view can be maintained, even when shooting video in 16:9 or 2.35:1 format.
The minimum focusing distance is 0.3 meters at wide angle and 0.25 meters at telephoto, while the maximum magnification is 0.39x.
It also uses Sony’s latest XD linear motors that make operation fast, silent and anti-vibration and allow it to perform continuous shots of moving subjects even at 30 frames per second.
A lens that will certainly appeal to lovers of manual shots thanks to the presence of independent rings for focus, zoom and aperture; it is also compatible with circular polarizing filters up to the rim and is resistant to dust and moisture, while the front lens element is treated with a fluorine coating that repels water, grease and other contaminants.
