Updates rolling out to 11 more Samsung Galaxy devices: here’s what’s new. Today is also a day of important updates, at least for Samsung. The South Korean manufacturer is proceeding quickly with the release of Android 13 and One UI 5.0, without forgetting the most recent security patches. Let’s start with the most important updates because Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A03s are receiving Android 13 with One UI 5. The first follows its 4G brother after a few days and welcomes the A716BXXU6EVL2 firmware, in distribution starting from the United Arab Emirates United. The second is receiving the A515FXXU5GVK6 version in Europe, which requires a download of around 1.7 GB and which integrates the October 2022 security patches. Galaxy A03s was initially expected to receive the update only in February 2023, but in the latest roadmap the deadlines have been shortened and evidently respected: the smartphone is being updated starting from Serbia with the One UI Core 5 (firmware A037GXXU2CVK7), a slightly lightened version of the operating system.

The novelties are more or less the same for the three smartphones: in addition to a general renewal of the system, we find new customization possibilities (thanks to more complete color palettes, dynamic themes with new larger icons), new animations and transition effects , new background blur effects, new clock styles (for the lock screen and beyond), new settings for choosing wallpapers, customizable caller screens, more advanced routines, Sleep Mode, stackable widgets, new gestures for multitasking and split screen mode, new Connected devices menu in Settings, new Camera app (watermarks and more) and Gallery, wider notifications, new pop-up for incoming calls and much more other.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE Android 13 update news

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE tablet is also updated to Android 13 and One UI 5.0: it starts from the United Kingdom with the T736BXXU1CVL1 firmware, which remains in the November 2022 security patches. It should be the penultimate major release for the device, which the Next year it should also welcome Android 14. The news is practically the same as mentioned above for smartphones, with new customization possibilities, new animations, stackable widgets, new connected devices menu and so on.

New Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra and Galaxy A52 updates

Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra were the first smartphones from the manufacturer to update to Android 13 (at the end of October), and are currently receiving the December 2022 security patches. The firmware in distribution is the S90* EXXU2BVKM: the correction to several dozen vulnerabilities is coming soon, some of which are critical (as specified in the usual bulletin released by the company).

Similar update for Samsung Galaxy A52, which is welcoming the December 2022 security patches in some European countries with firmware A525FXXS4CVK4. Here too, many vulnerabilities discovered in recent months have been corrected.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra update news

We close this series of updates with Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 + and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. The tablets are receiving respectively the X706BXXU3BVL2, X806BXXU3BVL2 and X906BXXU3BVL2 firmware starting with the cellular connectivity versions, but we are sure that the Wi-Fi ones will follow suit. The news includes the December 2022 security patches and some refinements for the update to Android 13 proposed a month ago, with improvements in stability and reliability.
