WhatsApp will also allow you to keep ephemeral messages

WhatsApp will also allow you to keep ephemeral messages. WhatsApp has announced a new option for ephemeral message conversations, which will allow recipients to keep individual messages, provided the sender consents to this request.

The new Android TV Xiaomi Mi Box is coming with many new features

“Keep in chat,” the soon-to-appear feature, allows users to long-press on a message that is about to disappear to ask to keep it. This will send a notification to the sender in which it is given to read: “Someone has stored your message for future reference”. The sender can then decide whether or not to allow the retention of the message in question.

This is how he presented the WhatsApp function:

Today we’re introducing ‘Keep in Chat’, so you can keep the messages you need for later, with a special superpower for the sender. We believe that if you have sent the message, it is your choice whether other users in the chat can keep it for later

WhatsApp states that if a user decides that his message cannot be kept by others, his decision will be final: no one else will be able to keep it and the message will be deleted when the timer expires.

If a recipient requests to keep a message that is about to disappear and the sender agrees, the message will instead get a bookmark icon to indicate that it can be found in the user’s kept messages folder, organized by chat.

WhatsApp says the feature will roll out globally in the coming weeks.
