This flatbed scanner boasts a 6400 dpi resolution, requires no warm-up, automatically removes dust and scratches, and includes two sets of film holders.
The manufacturer explains that the V850 Pro is equipped with a dual lens system that automatically selects the most suitable lens, with an optical resolution of up to 4,800 dpi for scanning photographs and 6,400 dpi for scanning films using the appropriate supports.
Various film formats can be scanned using rigid holders with adjustable height control, and non-standard film formats up to 8×10 inches are supported when placed directly on the scanner glass.
The maximum scan size is A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) and 48-bit color depth is supported. Scan speed is 6 seconds for preview and approximately 15 seconds per page (A4 color).
Included in the box are: 8 negative and positive holders, including 35 mm (2), medium format (2), and 4×5 inch (2) negatives and slides.
Output formats BMP, JPEG, TIFF, multi-TIFF, PDF and scan to searchable PDF are supported.
The USB port (2.0) allows connection to Macs and PCs. The dimensions are: 503 x 308 x 152 mm (LxWxH); the weight is 6,6kg. In addition to Epson Scan’s scanning software, the V850 Pro comes with SilverFast SE Plus 8 software which offers advanced scanning capabilities.
