Google Search, smooth scrolling comes to desktop

Google Search, smooth scrolling comes to desktop. More than a year after launching on mobile, the same smooth scrolling feature in Google searches makes its way to desktop. This means that you no longer need to click on the “Next” button or on one of the numbers below to move to the next pages, but simply scroll down to automatically load new content.

OnePlus 11: the official render and specifications of the smartphone appeared on the network

As we said, this function had already been available for some time on the Google app for smartphones and tablets, and is now also implemented on the desktop version of the search engine, regardless of the browser in use.

How does it work?

As the Mountain View multinational explains to Search Engine Land, the system is designed to load in this way the contents present in what are now 6 pages of search results, after which it will be necessary to click on the “More results” button to load the next sequence.

Because it’s comfortable

In addition to making the interface between desktop and mobile more consistent, this new solution aims to speed up the consultation of the results obtained from a typed search on Google, because it will be enough to keep scrolling down (with two fingers on a trackpad, with the wheel on the mouse) and without having to go and look for the lower number with the cursor.

We’re bringing seamless scrolling to the desktop so users can continue to see the most useful search results with fewer clicks. Starting today, it’s even easier to get inspired, with more information at your fingertips.

Google Continuous Scrolling, when it comes

In this first phase of rollout the feature will be available only for English queries in the United States, later it will be extended to more languages and regions.
