Most current foldables offer a thickness between 12 and 16 mm, a huge amount when compared to the 7.8 mm of the iPhone 14. Among the thickest foldable models 9to5Google reports Galaxy Fold 4 with 15.8 mm, instead among the thinnest we find Google Pixel Fold with 12.1 mm and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 at 11.2 mm.

Honor Magic V2 surpasses all because it stops at only 9.9 mm, a little more than a traditional smartphone. When the smartphone is opened, however, the thickness is halved: the minimum value is 4.7mm for the leather version but varies according to the model. For the version with glass back the thickness increases by 0,2mm.

Despite the super thin line, the configuration is respectable, starting with a generous 5,000 mAh battery, one of the most powerful ever among the foldables. Fast cable charging up to 66W is also supported, unfortunately Qi wireless charging is absent.

Android 13 operating system with MagicOS 7.2 and apps are managed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, flanked by 16 GB of RAM and storage space of 256GB, 512GB up to 1TB.

The external screen is 6.42 inches by 2,376 x 1,060 pixels, while the larger folding internal one is 7.92 inches with a resolution of 2,344 x 2,156 pixels: both support refresh rates up to 120Hz. The peak brightness values declared by the manufacturer are remarkable: 2,500 nits for the external display and 1,600 nits for the foldable internal one.

The triple camera system on the back includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 20MP telephoto sensor. The front selfie camera is 16MP.
