- Open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone.
- In the contact list, select the name of the user to whom you want to send the coordinates of the place where you are.
- Click the “+” button in the lower left corner of the screen.
- From the menu that appears, select the “Location” option. If you are using the feature for the first time, WhatsApp will require permission to access the location.
- WhatsApp will detect your current location and display it on a map.
To share real-time geodata (location), select Share geodata.
Specify the time for which your location will be available to the recipient. Optionally, select a convenient card format (the “i” button) and add a text message.
To send your current location, select a suggested organization from the list to link to the location. To share your current location without being tied to an organization, click Share Current Location.
To send a message with geolocation coordinates, click the send button.
The application will send your coordinates to the selected contact.
