iPadOS and iOS 15.7.1 available with important security fixes. Apple has released updates to iOS 15.7.1 and iPadOS 15.7.1, updates for those who do not want and cannot yet switch to iPadOS 16 / iOS 16.

Apple reports in its release notes that this update “provides important security improvements and is recommended for all users.”
As always, you can install the update directly from your smartphone or from the tabllet by going to Settings> General> Software update.
After requesting the update (tap on “Download and install”), it will be downloaded. The system prepares the update and, after a few minutes, it will be installed automatically.
The installation of the update requires at least 50% battery or connection to a power source.
If the update does not appear immediately, do not worry: it does not appear to all users immediately and you may have to wait a little longer.
If you are unable to update wirelessly, you can use iTunes to get the latest iOS update from your Mac or PC (or the Mac Finder with the latest operating systems) with the device connected via USB.
From now on, iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will only receive updates to resolve any identified vulnerabilities. A few days ago some users of the iOS 15.7.1 release candidate had reported problems with Face ID.
