Launched in China, the Oppo Find X6 series consists of two flagship terminals, Find X6 and Find X6 Pro. The former has a 6.74-inch display, with 1440p resolution, a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip, 8GB of RAM and a trio of 50MP cameras. It is not the top of the range of the series, although it is certainly a high-end smartphone.

Find X6 Pro

The top model Find X6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 8GB of RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, the latter shared with the Find X6. It has a 6.82-inch, 1440p display that even exceeds 2,500 nits of brightness. For comparison, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S23 series tops out at 1,750 nits. The other important feature of Oppo Find X6 Pro is its camera system, driven by a 1-inch primary sensor.

Specifically, it’s a 50MP sensor, the Sony IMX989, and it’s the same one used in Sony’s RX100 handheld camera, considerably larger than what is usually found in modern smartphones. Larger camera sensors have the advantage of being able to capture more light and produce a natural bokeh effect.

Alongside this sensor are two other 50MP ones, one used for ultrawide and macro shots and the other for 3x optical zoom. Both the primary and telephoto lenses feature optical image stabilization. Oppo advertises its 6x hybrid zoom as “full optical quality,” with a maximum digital zoom of 120x.

Oppo also improves image quality by handing some of the processing over to its MariSiliconX NPU.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro also includes 100W fast charging via USB-C and 50W wireless charging for its 5,000mAh battery. Rounding out the super-top-of-the-line set of features and specifications is a 32MP selfie camera, Dolby Vision and HDR10/+ support, and an infrared transceiver.

The terminal is made of glass in its green and black variants, but there is also a third color option made of vegan leather. The back, where the camera module is installed, distances itself, when in design, from previous models.

Pricing, as well as a release date, for the Oppo Find X6 series hasn’t been announced yet. Also, there are no details yet for the release of a global version.
