Panasonic LCD PT-CMZ50 is a new ultra-short throw projector. Panasonic has announced the PT-CMZ50 LCD projector listed as capable of delivering large images from ultra-short distances, promising “minimum shadows, ease of installation and setup”.

How to add Dynamic Island to older iPhones?

Ideal for use in classrooms and meeting rooms, as well as entertainment venues and museums, this 5,200lm ultra-short-throw projector can be installed just 1cm from the screen and promises ‘immersive images’, even in bright intense or in complex spaces in terms of installation.

The CMZ50 projector delivers 80-inch images with approximately 1cm installation, allowing presenters to work without worrying about screen shadows or glare from lens light, providing on-site and remote attendees a clear view of the projected contents.

The PT-CMZ50’s laser light source delivers 5,200 lm with a dynamic contrast of 3,000,000:1, and the WUXGA resolution makes it easy to read small pieces of text.

To handle ultra-widescreen signals it supports 2560×1080 (21:9) and 3240×1080 (27:9) input signals as well as 4k input signals, making this device an ideal solution in videoconferencing rooms which, for example , use Microsoft.

The manufacturer reports that the portable projector is easy to install in any environment, thanks to simple wall and ceiling mounting options. For more complex use cases, the image can be digitally shifted ±10% V/H and scaled to fit the screen using the Digital Zoom Extender and Image Shift function via remote control. After installation, the focus can also be adjusted using the remote control.

You can start presentations without waiting for the projector to warm up. Pictures appear about one second after the power is turned on, while the managed CEC control on the HDMI connector turns on the unit and the content played by the device is displayed automatically. There is also an HDMI output for possible connection to a second projector. Wireless projection works with the PressIT wireless presentation system or Panasonic’s AJ-WM50 series wireless module.

The manufacturer claims that the CMZ50’s new high-efficiency optical engine improves watt-per-lumen efficiency by approximately 25% over comparable lamp-based short throw models. The light source and filter do not require maintenance, ensuring continuous operation up to 20,000 hours, with a lower impact in terms of costs, waste and labor requirements.

The Panasonic PT-CMZ50 projector is scheduled for release in Q2 2023. Pricing has not been disclosed.
