Pixel Tablet without secrets in new photos. New information about Google’s Pixel tablet and its dock has appeared online. It is likely that the launch will take place together with the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold during the next Google I/O 2023 keynote, but in the meantime the images that have appeared on the net completely reveal the design.

New rumors have also described the operation of the dock and shown the accessory from all sides. Google announced the Pixel tablet during last year’s I/O keynote, providing more details in October when it released the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro. Since then, Google hasn’t shared any concrete details, but the tablet is thought to can return in May in a more concrete way, precisely during the I/O 2023 keynote also dedicated to the Pixel 7a and, perhaps, to the Pixel Fold.
As for the details, Kuba Wojciechowski reported in January that Google has developed two docks. Allegedly, Google showed ‘korlan’ or ‘K6’ in October, which supports audio pass-through function and charging. Also, there is a second dock named ‘yuzu’ and ‘Y4’ which will only have the charging function.
In practice, the dock looks like the bottom of the Nest Hub Max and may also use the same power connector. The dock will hold the Pixel tablet in place with several magnets and charge it via four pogo-pin connectors. It’s unclear whether the dock shown is ‘korlan’ or ‘yuzu’, although the fabric cover suggests it is the former, rather than the latter.
Meanwhile, 9to5Google has uncovered evidence of the Pixel tablet’s ‘Hub Mode’ functionality within the Google Home app’s code. Apparently, the Pixel tablet will automatically enter this mode when placed on the dock. In this way, ‘Hub Mode’ will transform the Pixel tablet into a de facto smart speaker, with much more power than the Nest Hub Max. Currently, it seems that Google has based the Pixel tablet on the Tensor G2, the same processor that also powers the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.
