Google Photos for iOS now has the Magic Eraser

Google Photos for iOS now has the Magic Eraser. Google has announced some new features reserved for Google One subscribers, storage and backup space that offers exclusive features in Google Photos for iOS and Android, with functions that, for example, allow you to adjust the position of light and brightness on faces, blur wallpapers, etc.

YouTube is experimenting with better quality 1080p videos for subscribers

A novelty offered to iPhone and iPad users is “Magic Eraser”, in Italian “Magic Eraser”, a tool previously offered only on Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 7.

The function in question allows you to completely remove unwanted people and objects from your photos. The tool uses artificial intelligence algorithms (trained with large quantities of reference images), allowing you to reconstruct portions of photos where there are people or other unwanted elements.

Also new are HDR video effects and new collage styles in the app, adding to the existing styles with modes such as Portrait Blur that blurs the background by simulating the use of a wide aperture lens, Portrait Light that improves the lighting of faces using artificial intelligence, or even the Color Pop filter useful for photos in Portrait mode.

In addition to the news mentioned above, in the USA Google is offering free shipping for photo prints to Google One service subscribers.

In Italy, Google One plans start from the “Basic” one with 10GB of storage space (shareable with 5 people) for €1.99 a month; the “Standard” plan includes 200GB per month for €2.99 per month; the “Premium” plan offers 2TB for €9.99 a month (and also offers premium Google Workspace features and a VPN).
