As stated by Xiaomi, Mi Band 8 is equipped with a series of straps that can meet the needs of each user, from leather, to fabric and nylon, as well as metal. Furthermore, the device is equipped with a clip accessory that allows you to attach the bracelet even to a shoe to track movements.
As for the technical characteristics, the Mi Band 8 features a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 490 x 192 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. It also features an always-on display function with a peak brightness of 600 nits and a 5ATM waterproof rating, making it a perfect ally for swimming in the pool too. Naturally, the device is also equipped with all the health tracking sensors found in previous models.
Xiaomi has also integrated all fitness tracking functions, but with a new extra feature: an interactive fitness course that uses the device’s accelerometer to track movements in real time. This feature fits perfectly with the clip that allows you to attach the device to your shoe.
As for autonomy, the 190mAh battery can be fully charged in one hour and offers a duration of up to 16 days.
At the moment, Mi Band 8 has only been presented for the Chinese market and it is not known how much will also arrive in the Italian market. The current price list in China speaks of a price of 249 yuan (about 33 euros) for the standard version, while the variant with NFC costs 299 yuan (about 40 euros).
The device is expected to hit European markets as early as this year.
