Here’s the new Apple TV app interface for Mac

Introducing the new Apple TV app for Mac interface. Learn about the changes Apple is making to the Apple TV app for Mac. Apple is planning a redesign for the TV app on Mac, which was already included in macOS 13.3 beta but is currently disabled.

One shot at Matter, Belkin Wemo has second thoughts

The main change in this new design is the addition of a sidebar for navigation. This new feature finally brings the Mac version of the TV app in sync with the iPad version, which has a sidebar since iOS 15.2. The sidebar is divided into different sections for Apple TV, Store, Library, Devices and Playlists.

The Apple TV section includes dedicated sections for Watch Now and Apple TV+. You’ll also get quick access to any Apple TV channels you’ve subscribed to, like MLS Season Pass, Showtime, or Starz.

The “Store” category allows you to purchase movies and TV shows through the iTunes Store. The “Library” category offers access to previously purchased content, rentals, Home Sharing, Family Sharing, and more.

At the moment, that’s all there is to the new design. Those who were hoping for a major TV app overhaul will have to keep waiting. However, the addition of a sidebar is a nice improvement for navigating between sections. Previously, the TV app only offered a tab bar for navigation at the top of the interface.

It’s unclear when Apple will release this new TV app design to users, as it’s currently included in the latest macOS 13.3 beta but hasn’t been activated yet
