Sony introduced a portable “home” theater

Sony introduced a portable “home” cinema. In the world of Bluetooth speakers, it’s rare to find devices that you really want to write about. As a rule, this is something extraordinary in the field of Hi-Fi and Hi-End, or something with an unusual design, since in the mass segment the functionality is approximately comparable for everyone, but sometimes there are exceptions.

Sony presented a rather strange, but in its own way interesting audio system HT-AX7. It consists of one large speaker and two additional ones that are attached to it with magnets for charging and transportation. It is assumed that two auxiliary speakers are placed behind the back of a person and create a surround sound effect, as in home theaters.

The speaker is wireless, works only via Bluetooth and is not protected from moisture and dust. Therefore, the question immediately arises: who needs it at all then? For home use, it is more logical to assemble a simple stationary system that will not require constant recharging. For travel, there are headphones, and for country parties, you want something that will survive the spray from the pool.

All this will cost $500, which, together with the characteristics, is far from the best offer both on the soundbar market and among portable acoustics. Perhaps there are avid travelers among the readers who, for some reason, do not accept headphones and cannot live without stereo sound. Then this new one is for you.
