WWDC23 will be all about the Apple headset

WWDC23 will be all about the Apple headset. It will be a WWDC centered on the Apple viewer. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman announces that the annual developer conference in June will focus entirely on Apple’s bet on virtual reality in the latest issue of his newsletter “Power On”.

The journalist explains that the peripheral in question “will be the star of the show”, but that Apple will spend much of the time explaining the details of the xrOS operating system and arousing interest from developers on the related software development kit.

Gurman points out that Apple would have a clear vision of a whole range of tools to offer to developers, and various activities are planned as part of the conference to demonstrate specific development tools dedicated to the headset and for interfacing with the App Store.

As for the actual availability of the viewer, Gurman generally predicts that it will arrive “in time for the holidays”, probably meaning the Christmas period, also to give developers time to prepare specific experiences.

Gurman’s indications are different from those of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who is doubtful about the possible presentation of the viewer in June. Ming-Chi Kuo has previously stressed the importance of the viewer, explaining that, if the presentation is to take place, it will have to be convincing for investors.
