Xiaomi launched the Band 7 in May last year in China, and then arrived in June in global markets. The direct successor is on the way and could be really close.

According to leaker Mukul Sharma, Xiaomi has started mass production of the new fitness band. At the moment, however, there is no official confirmation from the company, but the possibility is that Xiaomi Band 8 will debut alongside Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Both devices could also be joined by Xiaomi Pad 6, which could see the light during the same launch event. As previously reported, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will not launch this month and is more likely to debut in April or May. The latest reports on Xiaomi terminals would also confirm that the company will launch the Xiaomi 13 Lite, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro in Barcelona.

Speaking of the latter, if they were to be identical in specification to their counterparts intended for the Chinese market, the specifications of the two devices should be as follows. Global Xiaomi 13 is expected to enjoy a 6.36-inch 1080×2400 120Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 8/12GB RAM, 128/256/512GB storage, a triple rear camera system (50MP main with OIS, 12 MP ultrawide, 10 MP with 3.2x optical zoom), as well as a 32 MP selfie camera and a 4,500 mAh battery.

Returning to the smartband, the characteristics are not currently known, nor the innovations that Xiaomi Band 8 could bring to the fitness bracelet par excellence. The current Band 7 model has brought with it important features compared to past generations, without distorting the basic philosophy.
