Apple is working on the Apple TV app for Android smartphones

Apple is working on the Apple TV app for Android smartphones. Apple may soon make its Apple TV app available on Android smartphones as well. In particular, the leaker who signs ShrimpApplePro claims that not only is Apple internally testing the Apple TV app on Android, but also that the Apple multinational plans to release it soon, even if it has not provided a more precise launch window.

Passcode on iPhone does not work – what to do?

The anticipation is considered reliable, given that in the past the same leaker has carefully leaked the Dynamic Island hardware design of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, as well as the device packaging.

With the Apple TV app, Android smartphone owners would have an easier and more immediate way to access the Apple TV+ streaming service, instead of having to rely on the website to be visited via a web browser, as is still the case today. When it comes to the Android ecosystem, Apple’s TV app is currently limited to streaming devices that run on Android TV OS, including the Chromecast with Google TV.

Beyond the Android world, there are many non-Apple devices that have support for the Apple TV app. Among them are PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Roku and Amazon Fire TVs, Roku TVs and select smart TVs from LG, Samsung, Sony and Vizio. The app can be used to stream Apple TV+, buy or rent TV shows and movies from the iTunes Store, and more.

In the same post that anticipates the Apple TV app for Android smartphones, the leaker informs that soon Apple will also release an update for the Apple Music app, also for Android devices.
