All Apple products that still use Lightning

All Apple products that still use Lightning. Despite the debut of USB-C on the iPhone 15, several Apple products with Lightning connector remain in the range.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, everything that can be connected to the USB-C port

As expected, all four of Apple’s new iPhone 15s come with a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port. Apple also made AirPods Pro available with a USB-C charging case and released EarPods with a cable featuring a USB-C connector. However, there are still some Apple devices and accessories sold with the Lightning connector.

To date, Apple still sells several devices that support the Lightning port:

  • iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE
  • iPad (9th generation)
  • AirPods (2nd and 3rd generation)
  • AirPods Max
  • Apple Pencil (1st generation)
  • Magic Keyboard (Mac version)
  • Magic Mouse
  • Magic Trackpad
  • Various cables and adapters

However, once the launch event of the new iPhone 5 concluded, Apple discontinued the sale of the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo Charger accessories with Lightning connector.

Some of these products will likely be updated with the USB-C port in the near future, such as the AirPods Max headphones and the trio of Magic accessories for the Mac, while products from previous generations on the list, such as older iPhones, the iPad and Apple Pencil will not be updated until they are discontinued. Until then, therefore, the era of Apple’s Lightning connector is not yet completely over.
