iPhone 14 Pro Max charges faster via MagSafe than its predecessor. A new test shows that the iPhone 14 Pro Max charges faster via MagSafe than its predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Lexon Flip Plus review, elegant, simple and ingenious alarm clock

The MagSafe charger was first introduced to the iPhone line with the release of the iPhone 12. While technically the charger hasn’t changed, Apple has optimized the latest iPhones to improve the wireless connection. According to ChargerLAB’s YouTube channel, the iPhone 14 Pro Max charges faster via MagSafe than its predecessor. While both achieved a peak charge of 19.22W, the latest iPhone took 2 hours and 18 minutes to charge to 100%, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max took 2 hours and 26 minutes.

While it’s only an 8-minute difference, it’s important to note that Apple has tweaked the internals of the new iPhone to offer better airflow, save battery, avoid overheating, and charge (slightly) faster.

In general, iPhone models don’t charge as fast as their Android counterparts. There are manufacturers that offer a full charge in minutes, while Apple follows an adaptive charging strategy, where the iPhone learns your habits and charges accordingly, so the battery life can last longer.
