At the moment, from the Data Security section of the Play Store, developers only have to declare that it is possible to request that the data be deleted, without however indicating details on the procedures to follow. Google has decided to go further and prepare rules to guarantee the privacy of users, offering them an easy-to-use function to delete the data in their accounts.
Developers will be able to keep some types of data for security reasons or to comply with regulations, but we will need to clearly inform the user.
App developers – explains Big G – will have to provide a way to easily delete their account data, both within the app and with a link via the web and then provide these links to Google itself, which will take care of directly show url in app list in play store.
