New details about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra selfie camera emerge

New details about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra selfie camera emerge. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is particularly awaited, especially as regards its photographic sector.

OnePlus and OPPO will collaborate in a two-pronged strategy

A new leak reveals some interesting information about the front camera of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The selfie camera of Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra would only be 12 megapixels

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will reportedly receive a new sensor for the selfie camera, but it will have a lower resolution than previous models.

The Ultra models in the range have always offered a 40-megapixel front sensor since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, but according to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S23 Ultra would adopt a 12-megapixel selfie camera that would be the same as the one featured on the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+.

Details of this supposedly new selfie camera sensor are scarce at this time, but even if it does indeed offer much lower resolution than before, more megapixels doesn’t necessarily equate to better quality shots.

Samsung could make significant improvements to this new sensor which could translate into better overall performance despite the lower resolution.

According to previous rumors, the rear camera of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra would include a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom, and there may also be a second telephoto lens like on the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Some confirmations regarding the technical characteristics of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 range first emerged through the FCC for all three models and more recently through TENAA for the Ultra model.

According to the latest rumors, the Korean giant intends to launch the new flagship smartphones in early February, however it seems that Samsung may delay the launch of the series.
