iOS 17 will bring bug fixes and few new features. Change of plans: Apple has reportedly decided to integrate new functionality within iOS 17. In the latest edition of its Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that iOS 17 was originally intended as a release focused on fixing bugs and improving performance. However, Apple reportedly changed its mind and decided to integrate some noteworthy new features.

Gurman says that iOS 17 will include several “nice to have” features that are meant to satisfy some of the most requested features by users. However, it is currently unclear what features will be integrated. The new iOS 17 has the internal codename “Dawn”.

Apple will officially announce iOS 17 during WWDC in June, as well as the other major OS releases like watchOS 10, tvOS 17 and macOS 14. In addition, the new operating system dedicated to virtual reality will also be announced and will be used on the first device AR/VR of the company.

The latter was reportedly already presented internally to Apple executives at the Steve Jobs Theater last week.
